Update
It has been awhile since last updating everyone with what has been happening with Jeff Johnson Ministries.  In August, we wrapped up the summer camp tour after spending eight weeks on the road. The summer was a blast and we were thankful to be able to have so many opportunities to partner with so many different ministries and minister to students.   For a glimpse of our summer experiences, you can check out the pics on our myspace page (www.myspace.com/jeffjohnsonmusic), as well as a music video that you will not want to miss. 

More recently, we have found ourselves full swing into fall, leading retreats, rallies, and church services in various locations. We will be leading worship tonight for a college bible study called Breakaway, at A&M University (www.breakawayministries.org). I love working with college ministries, so I’m looking forward to that. In the midst of all that, we are also busy with our new studio project that we have begun!

The New CD
After much prayer and preparation, we have begun recording a new project. Hopefully the new cd will be ready for release by early winter. This project has been a long time coming, and so it is exciting for us to be able to have begun. We have 8 songs tracked and I am very pleased with the way it is turning out. It has been cool and humbling to write, collaborate on, and create the original songs God has given us to record and are anxious to see how he uses these new songs in the corporate worship setting. We have also recorded the hymn “One Day/O Glorious Day” that we have been leading with and have witnessed God use powerfully. I’m excited about that.

Last Spring we mailed out a fundraising letter to raise financial support for this cd and have been blown away by the generosity and overwhelming support from so many of you. Currently, we have raised $14,210, and are humbled by the way God is using you to partner with this ministry; we literally could not fulfilI God’s call for this ministry without you and thank you for serving with us through your prayers and financial support. As of today we are still in in need of approximately $10,000 to be able to complete the new project, but are moving forward in faith trusting God’s provision. Thank you to all those who have given!

Prayer – We would absolutely love for you to partner in prayer with us as we step out in faith with this new project.  We believe that God encourages, hears, and responds to the prayers of his people and would be incredibly blessed by your prayers on our behalf.  Specifically, please pray that the recording process would go smoothly, that God would continue to give us originality, creativity, and authenticity as we record, and that God would breathe his passion and vision into this project. 
2. 2.  Financial Support – As mentioned previously, we have raised about $14,000 and still need around $10,000 for the new project.  Unfortunately, money raised from events cannot go towards the cd since it is used to pay the band and cover travel expenses.  All finances for the cd are acquired through product sales and personal donations.  Although we are not quite to our financial goal, we know God will make it happen.  If giving is something you feel led to do, you can still mail checks to –

Our Booking Assistant
For those calling to book the Jeff Johnson band for an event, you will find out you talk to a girl named Erica. Erica Boutwell is our booking assistant that has been working with us since May. She answers our phone, does our booking, keeps us organized for events, and helps with other areas of the ministry. She has done an incredible job and we are glad to have her on board. Erica was recently married to Stephen in January, and also works part-time at my home church, 121 Community Church.
